In the very last round of a club game, you deal and pass (yes you could have opened 2S, but that is a real bad suit, and you have a side A, both of which argue for passing). Your LHO opens 1C, and after two passes it's your turn again.

A Defensive Coup

Blizzards cannot stop 8-NT. Last Friday, while the Northeast was being buried with snow, three of us hunkered down 8-NTers joined with Tomomi (in what I assume was a vastly warmer and less snowy California) to play a few hands. Here is a terrific success for the defense.
